A multi-genre lydtekniker – sound engineer – tonmeister with broad technology proficiency. Originally from Slovakia, living in Northern Norway since 2023 .

Working both as a live sound FOH engineer and studio mixing/mastering engineer. I have toured around the world with multiple theatre shows. I am available on a per-project basis, by contract and part-time.

Be it an orchestra, electronic music, theatre, shakuhachi, stones and glass, or trap vocals with a live band, I just love to make things sound better!

I studied classical music and jazz recording at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, Czechia. However, I have always loved experimental music and underground genres as well.

For the last couple of years, I have been expanding into full video documentation of live events using multiple cameras. This can include streaming, live calls to/from the stage, and full post-production, as well as mixing of multichannel sound, video cutting, color grading, and delivery for YouTube.

amazing small PA

In 2024, I was able to acquire a small but mighty PA system, namely the d&b Audiotechnik E8, E15X and 5D.

This system facilitates the cleanest possible sound for even the smallest gigs I occasionally work on.

The E8 can also be used as delays, front fills or stage monitors with larger systems.

With their incredible detail – better than some studio monitors, impressive loudness, very light weight and rain proof, I feel they are a very good starting point.

I’m currently in the process of choosing new studio monitors for critical listening, mixing and mastering.

I used part of the Samfunnsløftet Talentstipend grant awarded to me in 2024, to fund a portion of the trip to the Musikelektronik Geithain showroom in their factory in Germany. This was so that I could do a direct comparison of the contenders.

I am completely in love with the largest cubes, where the box disappears and only the precise sound is left, I am now looking for a larger permanent space for these monitors in the future!

the impact of sound

I love proper bass, both in film music and electronic music, I enjoy when the sound is properly felt, while still being very balanced and comfortable for the audience.

working with acoustics

When required by the genre, I like to blend the acoustic sound of the instruments with their amplified sound, so that no one can tell if it’s amplified until I turn it off for comparison.

studio sound

I aim to preserve the sonic characteristics and energy of the artist’s rough mix, while tuning the balance of the spectrum. The resulting mix translates as more influential, powerful and polished at the same time.

AV installation

In order to present the artwork in the best way possible, installations require time, patience and good planning. The main goals are clean wiring and minimal maintenance.
